Young People’s Ministry at Home

Parents are the primary religious educators of the young. Children learn what it means to belong to a family by being part of one. They learn what is important to that family by observing their parents and participating in family activities, functions, and rituals. Whether or not we realize it, everyone has daily rituals, intentional or not. By making the rituals of meals, bedtime, and family outings meaningful, comforting, and full of wonder, we enrich our lives and those of our children, adding a depth and spiritual dimension to everyday occurrences.

The UUA provides resources to give families opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions and activities and play games together, and to provide parents with materials to improve their parenting skills.
