5:30 pm: Sol Singers5:30 pm: Sol Singers – A group for all ages and abilities who “learn music by heart; take love to the community.” This intergenerational chorus learns music in the aural tradition, with repertoire drawn from UU hymnals, folk traditions, world music, pagan chants, justice songs, and healing tunes. Singers are invited to suggest songs for the group to learn. The Sol Singers are available to make pastoral care visits in the community, bringing the healing power of music to those in need of comfort. Sol Singers meet 5:30 pm in the Social Hall. Singers must wear masks and be fully vaccinated. Zoom available. This is a great group for beginning singers, all voice types!

4:00 pm: "Widening the Circle" Study Group4:00 pm: "Widening the Circle" Study Group – WTC was launched in response to the Widening the Circle of Concern Report (2020) to learn how discrimination, especially racism, is embedded in the UUA and by extension UU congregations. Dedicated to promoting diversity at First Unitarian, WTC members seek to learn how to identify and counteract discriminatory structures, ideas, and behavior. The primary focus is to understand the scope of and need for the 8th Principle in the context of the Report’s revelations. To enlarge this effort, we invite new members to join us in planning and participating in various learning opportunities for congregation members and create conditions for a more diverse, welcoming, and beloved community. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 4:00–6:00 pm. Please contact Linda Skye (Lskye@unm.edu) for more information or for the Zoom link. 7:00 pm: Bread, Wine, and Book Club7:00 pm: Bread, Wine, and Book Club – We meet the second Friday of each month at 7:00 pm on Zoom. Contact Martha Beyerlein (martha.beyerlein@comcast.net) for the meeting information.
