Although there will not be classes every Sunday until September, things do not come to a complete stop for us. Programming, in a sense, will still exist. You might have heard me say that my goal is to center joy in these times of transition and possible uncertainty. Not just in our church, but in the world. So, I am thrilled to announce that I am planning several fun activities for all the families in our congregation. On June 29th, we will have a Sundae Sunday after the second service with plenty of ice cream topping options.
The youth group historically takes a break during the summer months as well and gathers for social events. With Pride just right around the corner on June 7th, we will get together for a movie night/sign making party the night before the parade. I have also added a daytime movie event, and an evening roller skating event to our calendar.
And of course I have to mention our beloved UU Kids Summer Camp which is happening from July 13th-18th at the beautiful Sacramento Camp and Conference Center. Children from rising 3rd grade through 12th grade are invited to come and experience a week of play, sacred space creating, being in nature, and all of the wonderful things camp has to offer. Please check out the camp website for more information and to register: uukidscamp.blogspot.com
