Sanctuary
Weddings, ceremonies, recitals and large meetings for up to 300 people.
Not available on Sundays. The rental rate is $200.00 per hour with a 3-hour minimum (1 hour set up, 1 hour event, 1 hour cleanup). A facility host is required at the rate of $40.00 per hour with a 3-hour minimum ($120 minimum). This brings the per hour charge for the room and the facility host to $240.00 per hour with the minimum rental rate of 3 hours for $720.00.
Base AV – Rental of the Sanctuary comes with 2 wireless microphones, 2 wireless chorus microphones, sound for music, and a projector. For additional AV please see Audio Visual Fees below.
Social Hall
In 2019, our Social Hall underwent a $1.4 million remodel. Perfect for large parties, meetings, fundraisers, and receptions, with capacity for up to 80 people for a seated dinner, or 120 people for audience-style seating. Includes state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities.
Not available on Mon, Tue, Thu after 5:30 pm, Fridays before 2 pm, or Saturdays before 12 pm.
The rental rate is $150.00 per hour with a 3-hour minimum – 1 set up, 1 hour event, 1 hour cleanup. A facility host is required at the rate of $40.00 per hour with a 3-hour minimum ($120 minimum). This brings the per hour charge for the room and the facility host to $190.00 per hour with the minimum rental rate of 3 hours for $570.00.
Our Social Hall has a fully certified catering kitchen available for an additional $35.00 per hour. Kitchen cleaning may incur additional facility host fees.

Memorial Hall
Parties, meetings, baby showers for up to 45 people. Includes a small open kitchen.
Not available Sun – Thu from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or Fridays 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

This brings the per hour charge for the room and the facility host to $140.00 per hour with the minimum rental rate of 3 hours for $420.00.
Memorial Hall also has a small kitchen that comes included with the room rental. It has a full electric stove, microwave, and refrigerator available for use.

Arnold Room & Wesson Room
Small meeting rooms for up to 20 people.
The rental rate is $40.00 per hour, with a one hour minimum. No facility host required.
Social Hall Meeting Rooms
Glassed room with conference table aka the “Fishbowl” seating 10; Social Hall Library with seating for 8.
The rental rate for the Fishbowl is $50.00 per hour, with a one hour minimum. The rental rate of the Library is $40.00 per hour, with a one hour minimum. No facility host required for either space.
Courtyard
Beautiful, xeriscaped courtyard for outdoor parties or receptions.
The rental rate is $40.00 per hour, with a one hour minimum. No facility host required if not using any of the church tables/chairs. Can be an add on to any of the spaces.
Up to 20% discount for members using the space for personal events, 501(c)3 organizations whose missions align with one of the Eight Principles of the UU Faith, and partners of First Unitarian Church.
Political groups do not qualify for discounts
Discount is for RENTAL FEE only, not for other fees (Host, Linens, AV, etc.)
Definition of a member: According to First Unitarian’s bylaws, a member is a person who has signed the membership book and made an identifiable contribution within the last 12 months. For the purpose of building use privileges, that contribution must be at least equal to the benefit received; that is, the standard rental cost of the room to be used.
Facility Host Requirement: $40 per hour will be charged for each facility host. Number of facility host required for an event will be determined by the Rental Venue Manager when booking the details of your event. All renters have the option to add on a facility host at $40 per hour if one is available.
Tablecloth Fee: Floor length black tablecloths with lavender or maroon toppers are available. The fee is per event day.
$75 Fee for up to 40 people or $150 for up to 120 people
Church Members are able to use tablecloths for events without a fee, but they must wash and return them within 24 hours
Audio Visual Fees:
Base AV (comes with room rental)
Sanctuary – 2 Wireless Microphones, 2 chorus microphones, sound for music, and a projector
Social Hall- 2 Wireless Microphones, sound for music, and a projector
Memorial Hall – 1 Wireless Microphone, sound for music, and a projector
Add ons:
Minor Sanctuary A/V – up to 3 additional mics, minor sound mixing, and video/zoom is a flat fee of $150 and will require an a minimum of 1 hour for set up and sound checking.
Complex Sanctuary A/V (i.e. remote frequencies, major mixing, connections, and video) will incur a cost of $50 per hour for an AV Technician. Minimum of $200 – 1 hour setup, 1 hour event, 1 hour breakdown.
Social Hall Lights – $100 Fee and extra 30 minutes to setup
Note About Additional Mics in Social/Memorial Halls: The Church does not have the capacity to add additional microphones to the Social Hall or Memorial Hall other that what is provided in the base option. You are welcome to bring your own equipment to use and set up. The facility host will not be able to run outside AV unless it is a basic on/off situation. Speak with the rentals department for more details or any questions.
