There has been an increase lately in phishing scams requesting money from church members, pretending to be one of the ministers. If you receive a text or email asking for money that does not come from a legitimate @uuabq.org email address, it is a scam. Any financial requests from our ministers go through formal means, like our Fall stewardship campaigns, announcements in worship, or messages in our newsletters. We will never ask you for monetary gifts that aren’t processed through the church’s own email and banking systems, for tracing and accountability.
